What will my resume look like?
We incorporate professional design standards to make your document stand out and draw the reader’s attention to the most important information. Your resume will be in a Word (docx) file format, which is also compatible with Google Docs and Pages for Mac (depending on your IOS version).
Based on feedback from recruiters, we do not produce documents with colors or images. We do have modern resume templates available for purchase, but we advise that you do not use these templates if you’re uploading your resume into a database as they are not ATS, or Applicant Tracking System-friendly.
We recommend using our modern templates if you are sending your resume directly to a hiring manager, or if you are hand-delivering your resume (in an interview, for example).
Do you work with both US and international clients?
We work with clients all over the United States. For international clients, please email us at info@thecareercounter.com and we can determine if it’s a good fit.
Will I get to provide input during this process?
Definitely! Writing a resume is highly personalized, so you will work with your writer throughout the process. The more we learn from you about your background, the better the final outcome.
Of course, we will incorporate any changes you identify into the final revision.
How long will my resume be?
It depends.
If you are a student or new professional, then typically a one-page resume is what we recommend.
More experienced candidates typically need a two-page resume or longer. If you additional pages, please make sure to include the associated add-on in your order. (See above)
How many revisions will I receive?
We’ve got a happiness guarantee policy. Your resume is finished when you’re 100% satisfied. However, it typically only takes on average one or two revisions to complete the resume rewrite process.
